About me
Jennifer Ponce is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Clinical Supervisor in the Ontario- Montclair school District (OMSD), Health & Wellness Services (HWS) Department. Jennifer has worked in the mental health field since 2009.
Jennifer currently supports the Prevention and Early Intervention program in HWS by supervising and training Mental Health University interns who provide Mental Health services to Preschool - 8th grade students and their families. Jennifer also supports the department by providing crisis response support to schools, students, and staff. She provides presentations to staff and community members on various mental health topics and engages in prevention activities within the community to support student and district needs focused on eliminating barriers and bridge gaps for students, families, and community members.
Prior to her current role, Jennifer had the opportunity to work in various outpatient settings and schools within OMSD as a mental health provider. Those experiences have allowed Jennifer to provide mental health treatment to children and adults in individual and group therapy settings to treat symptoms related to depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, oppositional defiance, self-esteem issues, codependency, work stress, adjustment, coping skills, perinatal mental health, and others based on need.
Jennifer's passion is to empower and support the individuals, families and community she serves by creating a safe environment that fosters growth.
